English Portraits and self portraits have the aim of capturing the personality of the person, with the expression that is typical of that point in time, with the objects that surround it: a chair, a stool, a table, a curtain. Witness scenarios are a unicum, they are treated with the same quality and character, everything has a fake sense and real one: in the comedy several actors are playing, people or things will define that instant. Nothing has a bigger or more superior importance, in that the moment will terminate, it will be faded in by millions of others, characterized themselves by other objects and other testimonies.
These paintings express a burning desire for sincerity. They define the one who is called, his isolated character, of that typical time: that look and that gesture must not go by unnoticed, they must take the observer back in time.
