Still life paintings are born
from a static situation of contemplation, of concentration on an image that
is offered by colours and objects. The shapes reproduced sometimes explode
or seem happy, as pure and direct means of expression. In this case basic
primary colours are employed, they are vivid or aggressive, fierce, to express
the depth of an interior emptiness that needs to somehow be filled.
